Abstract
Constructing a scientific and reasonable evaluation index system of Chinese path to modernization and measuring the modernization level is helpful to grasp the basic trend and main contradiction of Chinese path to modernization.This paper constructs the evaluation index system of Chinese path to modernization,which includes the 5 primary indexes of economic devel-opment,scientific and technological innovation,ecological civilization,social progress and people's livelihood,as well as 29 sec-ondary indexes.Based on the index system,principal component analysis is used to evaluate the comprehensive score of the level of Chinese path to modernization from 2012 to 2020 and the level of Chinese path to modernization of 31 provinces in 2020.The results are shown as the following:Since the 18th CPC National Congress,the level of Chinese path to modernization has shown a growing trend,especially the rapid improvement of scientific and technological innovation strength,which has become an impor-tant driving force to promote high-quality economic development.There is a large gap in the level of Chinese path to moderniza-tion between regions in China,and some provinces have obvious shortcomings and weaknesses.关键词
