Impact of Industrial Digitization and Upgrading of Industrial Structure on Common Prosperity—Based on the Perspective of Urban-Rural Income Gap

Abstract
Employing the panel data of 278 cities at prefecture level and above in China from 2011 to 2022,and based on fixed-effect model and intermediary model,this paper takes the urban-rural income gap as the entry point to empirically test the impact of industrial digitalization and industrial structure upgrading on common prosperity.The study results are shown as follows:Industrial digitization and upgrading of industrial structure significantly narrow the urban-rural income gap and promote common prosperity.Moreover,the promotion effect on common prosperity is different in different regions with the improvement of regional economic development level,and the effects of industrial digitization and industrial structure upgrading are more significant in less developed areas and developed areas,respectively.In the impact of industrial digitalization on common prosperity,industrial structure upgrading and urbanization play a part of the intermediary effect.关键词
