Abstract
Objective To analyze the related risk factors of urinary tract infection in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)after transurethral resection(TURP)and protective measures. Methods 80 BPH patients in our hospital were treated with TURP.They were divided into two groups according to urinary tract infection. The risk factors of urinary tract infection in BPH patients after TURP were analyzed, and the protective measures were formulated. Results Among the BPH patients,15 cases had postoperative urinary tract infection.Univariate analysis results showed that the proportion of preoperative catheterization, diabetes mellitus, non antibiotics before surgery, and catheter retention time>5 days in the infection group were higher than those in the non-infection group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that preoperative catheterization, diabetes mellitus, non antibiotics before surgery, and catheter retention time>5 days were independent risk factors of urinary tract infection in BPH patients after TURP(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions BPH patients are prone to urinary tract infection after TURP.Preoperative catheterization, diabetes mellitus, non antibiotics before surgery, and catheter retention time>5 days are independent risk factors. Therefore, timely protective measures should be taken to reduce urinary tract infection.关键词
