Single-center experience in the treatment of severe aortic stenosis with Xcor transapical aortic valve replacement system

摘要

Abstract

Objective The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effect of a novel designed Xcor transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR)system in the treatment of severe aortic stenosis in Xijing hospital.Methods From September 2022 to February 2023,a total of 5 patients with severe aortic stenosis were treated with Xcor TAVR system in our center.Clinical data were collected at baseline,before discharge,and 30 days after the procedure.Results The median age of the five patients was 69.0 years(range 65.0-75.0 years),3 of them were male,and the median of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons score was 6.255%(range 5.078%to 7.056%).The procedural success rate was 100%,the mean pressure gradient decreased from 51 mmHg(range 30 to 76 mmHg)to 8 mmHg(range 5 to 8 mmHg)(P<0.01),and no major adverse events occurred in all patients.At 30 days of follow-up,all patients had New York Heart Class II.Conclusion Our early single-center experience shows that Xcor system is safe and feasible in the treatment of patients with severe aortic stenosis.The supporting arm design may be able to achieve a better anatomical fit to the native aortic root.
