Visualization Analysis on Research Hotspots of TCM Intervention in Spinal Cord Injury from 1982 to 2022

Abstract
Objective To analyze the development history,research hotspots and trends of TCM intervention in spinal cord injury using bibliometric methods.Methods Research literature about TCM intervention in spinal cord injury was retrieved from CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,and Web of Science from 1982 to 2022.Excel 2020 was used to plot the trend of issuance.VOSviewer 1.6.18 software was used to draw the core authors and keywords co-occurrence network,and CiteSpace 6.1.R3 software was used to draw the keywords clustering and keyword emergence knowledge map.Results A total of 3 068 articles were included,including 2 860 Chinese articles and 208 English articles,with a fluctuating upward trend in the number of articles published in this research field.334 Chinese core authors and 44 English core authors formed multiple research teams,with a lack of cooperation among the teams.In addition to"spinal cord injury",Chinese high-frequency keywords included"electroacupuncture","rat","acupuncture and moxibustion","neurogenic bladder","apoptosis",etc.High frequency keywords in English included"electroacupuncture","acupuncture","expression","functional recovery"and"neural regeneration",etc.Keyword clustering analysis showed that the research in this field mainly focused on the clinical observation and mechanism study of different TCM therapies for spinal cord injury.Keyword emergent analysis showed that rehabilitation,oxidative stress response,inflammatory response,inflammatory factors,autophagy,warm acupuncture,Baliao acupoint,Jiaji acupoint,microglia cells,animal models,functional recovery,gene expression and so on were the research frontiers in this field.Conclusion The molecular mechanism of TCM intervention in spinal cord injury is the current research hotspot.The target of TCM therapy for spinal cord injury for further elucidation,and clinical studies with higher evidence-based level for efficacy evaluation are the research trends in this field.关键词
