佩戴耳塞的外耳道炎临床表现及危险因素分析
Clinical Characteristics of Otitis Externa Associated with Wearing Earplugs and Risk Factors

Abstract
Objective To report characteristics and risk factors associated to earplug use in patients with otitis ex-terna.Methods A cross-sectional observational survey was completed regarding earplug use in 291 patients with otitis externa seen in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology&Head and Neck Surgery,West China Hospital of Sichuan Uni-versity between Nov,2022 and Nov,2023.Patients were divided into two groups based on history of earplug use.Logis-tic regression was used to determine correlations among clinical manifestations and possible risk factors related to wear earplugs.Results Of the patients who wore earplugs(n=128),87(67.97%)experienced symptoms of otitis externa while 41 did not.Symptoms after wearing earplugs included itchiness,otalgia,otorrhea,etc.Single factor analysis showed an association between external otitis and earplug use,history of ear diseases,high levels of sebum secretion,earplugs materiala,and the purpose of earplug use.Logistic regression showed high levels of sebum secretion as an in-dependent risk factor for otitis externa wearing earplugs(OR=0.399,95%CI:0.172-0.926).Conclusion Otitis externa caused by wearing earplugs does not show specific clinical manifestations,and may be related to history of ear diseases,excessive sebum secretion,earplug materials and purposes of earplug use.关键词
