Failure risk assessment of drainage network based on combination weighting and risk matrix method

Abstract
This study focused on assessing the failure risk level of a city's drainage pipe network in Northwest China.A novel approach,combining the weight and risk matrix,was proposed for the assess-ment of drainage network failure risk.The study analyzed key failure risk factors and consequence indica-tors associated with the research object.The results indicated that factors such as pipe age,management system,pipe properties,and soil characteristics significantly influenced the failure risk.Moreover,among the failure consequence indicators,environmental,social,and economic impacts exerted substantial influ-ence on the overall consequence of failures.The method's determination of failure risk level aligned close-ly with actual test results,indicating enhanced accuracy in evaluation.This approach proved effective in identifying high-risk pipe sections,which offers valuable guidance for decision-making in pipeline net-work operation and maintenance,and ultimately reduce the risk of urban waterlogging.关键词
