Abstract
The Nanshi Camel Auxiliary Dam stands as one of the primary water-retaining structures of the Miyun Reservoir.In the spring of 2022,a damp phenomenon was observed at the foot of the eastern slope of the lower reaches of Youtai,indicating potential seepage issues.A detailed survey was conducted in 2023,which confirmed the presence of three wet spots on the eastern and southeastern slopes of the platform.To thoroughly analyze the source of seepage,a joint leakage detection effort was undertaken us-ing high-density electrical and ground-penetrating radar methods.The analysis revealed a water-rich zone in the area of Zhuanghao 0+209m to 0+265m of the auxiliary dam.This seepage was primarily attrib-uted to recharge from the weathered layer of the dam foundation,which might exacerbate the weathering of the gneiss foundation and potentially pose potential risk due to local slope collapse.It is imperative to strengthen monitoring and assess the risk affecting the stability of the overburden layer or dam base down-stream of the tooth wall.Corresponding preventive measures should be promptly implemented.The re-search findings will serve as a scientific reference for the operation and management of the Auxiliary Dam.关键词
