From Natural Healing to Social Restoration:Exploring the Healing Value of Community Gardens from the Perspective of Public Health

Abstract
[Purpose]This research aims to explore in depth the natural healing power and social restoration process of community gardens from the perspective of public health.[Methods]This research reviews the research progress of community gardens and public health and,based on the theoretical and practical research on the effects of community gardens on natural healing,takes such projects as hub-type community garden,subdistrict community experiment,citywide community garden renewal,and nationwide community garden practice action as examples to explore the action modes and mechanisms of different types of community gardens in the process from facilitating natural healing to promoting social restoration.On this basis,the research assesses the healing value of community gardens by means of questionnaire survey.[Results]The research results show that community gardens can promote individual healing,group healing,and the repair and remodeling of social relations to a certain extent.Based on this,the research summarizes a three-level action mechanism that can help achieve the healing value of community gardens,which involves Natural output service and physical space construction,the realization of individual physical and mental healing values,and the benefits of social restoration through the construction of community networks.[Conclusion]Community gardens can provide effective assistance and support for long-term development and sustainable construction of communities through providing natural output services,promoting individual physical and mental healing,expanding community networks and repairing social relations.关键词
