Abstract
As a significant component of the Zumiao Temple's architectural complex,which is now listed as an important heritage site under state protection,the Lingying Archway was built during the reign of Emperor Jingtai in the Ming dynasty,and it has been more than 500 years.There were few records on the renovations of the Linying Archway,which was once an official memorial archway.However,as an archway with three arches,four columns and four floors,it is rare in Guangdong Province.Through the study on a variety of materials,including the documents,tablet inscriptions and historical objects,the author basically confirmed that the scale and the architectural forms of the Lingying archway was created during the reign of Emperor Zhengde in the Ming dynasty.In the Qing dynasty,at least four renovations were conducted on the basis of that.During the Republic of China,because of the chaos caused by war,only one record was documented.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,the protection of immovable cultural heritage is in the new era and is becoming scientific gradually,so as the administration and renovations of the Lingying Archway.关键词
