Abstract
Bamboo is an important raw material as a substitute for plastic.The physical and mechanical properties of bamboo are the important index to measure the quality of bamboo.The research on the influencing factors to main physical and mechanical properties of bamboo will contribute to rational development of bamboo resources and efficient processing and utilization of bamboo,thus contributing to developing high-performance and high-quality bamboo products as substitutes for plastic.In this paper,the factors affecting the physical and mechanical properties of bamboo are reviewed,including species,age,stalk position,moisture content,geographical provenance,site conditions,altitude,stand structure,cutting time,fertilization,diseases and pests,and obtruncation,which will provide a reference for bamboo timber selection,classified bamboo utilization and bamboo timber grading so as to produce bamboo products as substitutes for plastic.关键词
