Abstract
Intergenerational support is an important factor influencing the fertility intentions of families at this stage.Against the background of the State's encouragement of childbearing,the study explores the impact of intergenerational support on fertility in-tentions of poverty-stricken families in Ethnic minority areas through the construction of the"capability-environment-willingness"framework.The findings are as follows:Firstly,intergenerational support can promote an increase in fertility intentions,with economic considerations playing a primary role,and emotional considerations premised on economic considerations.Secondly,within the economic considerations,intergenerational support primarily enhances fertility intentions through a capacity-driven mechanism,that is,reducing child-rearing costs,increasing core family income,and saving on education costs.Thirdly,within the emotional considerations,intergenerational support promotes fertility intentions through an environment-driven mechanism,namely,strengthening family-oriented fertility motives and shaping a positive attitude toward fertility.Therefore,the above find-ings provide new perspectives and empirical evidence on intergenerational support to enhance fertility intentions.The above find-ings provide new perspectives and empirical evidence that intergenerational support enhances fertility intentions.关键词
