Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect and complications of anhydrous ethanol irrigation combined with polydocanol foam sclerosis in the treatment of giant cystic lymphatic duct malformation in the neck.Methods A total of 19 children with cervical macrocystic lymphatic duct malformation admitted to the author's Hospital from October 2017 to February 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,including 10 males and 9 females,aged 37 days to 12 years,average 35 months,weighing 4.2 kg to 48 kg,average 13.66 kg.10 cases were located in the left neck,9 cases in the right neck,and 9 cases combined with intracapsular hemorrhage.The cystic cavity was repeatedly irrigated with anhydrous ethanol followed by sclerotherapy with polydocanol foam.Adverse effects were observed and followed up for 6-12 months to evaluate the treatment effect.Results Three of the 19 children underwent 2 treatments,and all of them achieved good results,but adverse effects such as swelling and fever in the operated area also occurred.Conclusion Anhydrous ethanol lavage combined with polydocanol foam sclerosis for treatment of cervical giant cystic lymphatic duct malformation in children has good therapeutic effect and high safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
