Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of modified cosmetic suture on patients with facial contusion and laceration.Methods A total of 125 patients with facial contusion and laceration admitted to author's hospital from November 2018 to September 2022 were selected and divided into the traditional debridement suture group(group A,63 cases)and the modified cosmetic suture group(group B,62 cases)according to the different treatment plans.The short-term wound healing of the two groups(divided into grade A,B and C)was compared when the stitches were removed 7 days after operation,In 6 months after operation,the Vancouver scar scale(VSS)was used to evaluate the long-term scar condition of the two groups(including color,thickness,vascular distribution,and softness),and the patients'satisfaction with scar was counted.Results At 7 days after operation,the wound healing rate of grade A in group B was higher than that in group A,and the wound healing rate of grade C was lower than that in group A(P＜0.05),there was no significant difference in grade B healing rate between the two groups(P＞0.05).At 6 months after operation,the VSS scores of color,thickness,vascular distribution,softness and the total VSS score in group B were lower than those in group A(P＜0.05),the satisfaction rate of scar in group B was 91.94%,which was higher than 76.19%in group A(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional debridement and suture,modified cosmetic suture in the treatment of facial contusion and laceration has better wound healing in the short term,lighter scar in the long term,and higher patient satisfaction.关键词
