Abstract
Objective To analyze the relationship between time to recurrence and adverse reactions in patients with medium-to high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)treated with BCG bladder perfusion.Methods A total of 550 patients with moderate and high-risk NMIBC who received BCG bladder perfusion admitted to the Department of Urology,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from June 2018 to June 2021 were selected as the study objects to analyze the recurrence time,adverse reactions,the relationship between the recurrence time and adverse reactions.Results Of the 550 patients treated with BCG bladder instillation,86 patients did not experience adverse reactions.12 months of follow-up revealed a 1-year recurrence-free survival rate of 82.18%(452/550)and a cumulative recurrence rate of 17.82%(98/550).There was no statistically significant difference in the time to relapse between patients with local adverse reactions and those with systemic adverse reactions(t=0.359,P=0.360).time to relapse was lower in patients with Grade 2 adverse reactions than in patients with Grade 1 adverse reactions and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.501,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the time to recurrence of 1 or less adverse reactions and the time to recurrence of 2 adverse reactions(P>0.05),but the time to recurrence in patients with 3 or more adverse reactions was significantly lower than the above two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The time to recurrence of BCG bladder perfusion treatment is related to the grading and number of adverse reactions of patients,and the shorter the time to recurrence of NMIBC as the grading and number of adverse reactions rise.关键词
