Abstract

In this study,the effects of different mother plant ages,concentrations and times of rooting agent and electric heating wire heating on the rooting of hard branch cuttings of Xanthoceras sorbifolium were investigated,and the effects of different grafting methods and grafting times on the grafting survival rate of Xanthoceras sorbifolium were investigated.The results showed that there was no significant differences in the rooting rate among the cuttings collected from the mother plants of two,four and nine years old.Soaking the cuttings with rooting agents could improve the callus formation rate,rooting rate,rooting number and root length of hard branch cuttings of Xanthoceras sorbifolium.The optimal treatment was soaking the cuttings with IBA 250 mg/L+NAA 100 mg/L for 15 min,with the callus formation rate of 92.82%and rooting rate of 78.86%.Electric heating wire heating could not significantly improve the rate of callus formation and rooting,but could significantly accelerate the rate of callus formation.The survival rate of cleft grafting,tongue grafting and bud grafting in spring of Xanthoceras sorbifolium could all reach over 90%,in production,more suitable grafting methods could be selected from the three methods according to the actual situation.The survival rate of bud grafting in summer was 65.61%,which could be used as an auxiliary grafting method for Xanthoceras sorbifolium.
