Cold Resistance Evaluation of Six Xanthoceras sorbifolium Germplasms by Conductivity Method and Logistic Equation

Abstract
In order to evaluate the cold resistance of introduced Xanthoceras sorbifolium germplasms and provide references for its further cultivation and breeding utilization,six introduced Xanthoceras sorbifolium(G27,BD12,BD-specific,Jian 2,Line 2,G13)were used as test materials,three low temperature stress treatments(-10℃,-20℃and-30℃)were set up to determine the relative conductivity,and the semi-lethal temperature(LT50)was calculated by fitting the Logistic equation.The results showed that the semi-lethal temperatures of BD-specific,G27,BD12,Jian 2,G13,Line 2 were-13.272℃,-12.244℃,-11.543℃,-8.246℃,-5.643℃and-2.642℃,respectively.According to the semi-lethal temperature,the cold resistance was BD-specific>G27>BD12>Jian 2>G13>Line 2.The results of evaluating the cold resistance of Xanthoceras sorbifolium germplasm by conductivity method and Logistic equation were basically consistent with those of previous studies.This method could be used as one of the simple methods to evaluate the cold resistance of germplasm,and the results could provide a reference for the further cultivation and breeding utilization of the introduced germplasm in Xinjiang.关键词
