摘要

Abstract

Capacitive deionization(CDI)technology is widely used in solving water shortage and water environment pollution,which has the advantages of less energy consumption,high regeneration efficiency,no secondary pollution and easy operation.Developing electrode materials with high electrochemical performances and salt adsorption capacity is vital for CDI desalination.Carbon materials have been extensively used as CDI electrodes because of their high specific surface area,abundant pore structure,excellent electrical conductivity and good stability.On the basis of introducing the basic principle of CDI technology,this paper summarized the research progress of five types of typical carbon-based electrode materials,with the emphasis on material design and improved adsorption performances.The advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of electrode materials were compared and analyzed,and the problems existing in industrialization and the improvement directions were discussed.
