Abstract

As one of the most important raw materials for the production of rare earth chloride and rare earth oxide,the quality of ion-absorption rare earth ore affects the extraction and separation effect of back-end rare earth and the quality of oxide.Iron is one of the most common impurity elements in ion-absorption rare earth ore,and most of the current national standards for rare earth products have control requirements for iron.Iron impurities not only affect the quality of rare earth products,but also restrict the application range of rare earth products.The optimum analytical conditions for determination of ferric trioxide in mixed rare earth oxide of ion-absorption rare earth ore by ICP-AES method were determined,and the effect of rare earth matrix effect was eliminated by approximate matrix matching.The detection limit of the method was 0.0015%~0.0017%,the measurement range was 0.010%~1.80%,the precision was 1.61%~3.40%,and the recovery was 100.4%~104.0%,which was consistent with the results of spectrophotometry.The method has a wide range of determination,simple operation,fast analysis speed,accurate and reliable results,and can meet the requirements of the analysis of ferric oxide in mixed rare earth oxide of ion-absorption rare earth ore.
