Measurement and Spatiotemporal Evolution of the Development Level of China's New Quality Productive Forces

Abstract
The development of new quality productive forces is the internal requirement and important focus to promote high-quality economic development,and is of great significance for accelerating the realization of Chinese path to modernization.This paper is based on the panel data of 30 provinces from 2015 to 2022 to construct an indicator system for the development of new quality productive forces in China.Entropy method is used for the calculation and analysis;Dagum Gini coefficient method,kernel density estimation method,global and local Moran index are used to analyze the regional differences,dynamic evolution characteristics,spatial correlation,and spatial agglomeration characteristics of new quality productive forces development.The re-sults go as below:Firstly,the overall development level of new quality productive forces in China and the four major regions has been increasing year by year,but there are regional differences.The four major regions are in a decreasing state of"east—cen-tral—northeast—west".Secondly,the overall difference in the development level of new quality productive forces in China is on the rise,with regional differences among the four major regions being the main source of overall differences in the development of new quality productive forces.Thirdly,the development of new quality productive forces shows a positive spatial correlation,with the eastern region mostly exhibiting H-H type clustering,while the central,western and northeastern regions mostly exhibiting L-L type clustering.关键词
