摘要

Abstract

Oceans play an important role in achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.China is the largest country in mariculture,and the output of shellfish and algae ranks first in the world which can show high carbon sink capaci-ty.This paper expounds the carbon storage processes mediated by biological pumps,microbial carbon pumps and carbonate pumps during the culture of shellfish and algae.The research progress of different species of shellfish and algae culture on carbon sequestrating capacity was reviewed.The ecological benefits and carbon sequestrability of the multi-trophic level culture(IMTA)model of shellfish and algae were discussed,as well as the relevant re-searches on IMTA model at home and abroad.This paper puts forward relevant suggestions on the mechanism of carbon sequestration and carbon storage,the exploration of shellfish and algae cultivation model and government in-centive policies,so as to help China achieve carbon neutrality.
