Abstract

Because of excellent comprehensive road performance,the polyurethane blend bridge deck pavement material is expected to solve the poor durability and short service life of traditional asphalt-based steel bridge deck pavement materials in harsh environments for steel bridge.However,there is little research on the matching water-proof adhesive layer material at present.Therefore,shear fatigue tests were conducted for two types of waterproof adhesive layer materials(polyurethane and epoxy resin)to analyze the effects of temperature and stress on the shear fatigue life of the waterproof adhesive layer.The research results showed that both the shear fatigue lives of two types of waterproof layers show a slow-rapid-slow decrease trend within the temperature range of-10 to 70 ℃.Under the same stress ratio and temperature,the shear fatigue life of the polyurethane waterproof adhesive layer is 1.02~1.40 times greater than that of the epoxy resin waterproof adhesive layer,which indicates that the polyurethane water-proof adhesive layer has stronger shear resistance and is more suitable to be the waterproof adhesive layer for the polyurethane steel bridge deck pavement structure.Under different temperatures,both the fatigue lives of the two waterproof adhesive layers decrease with the stress ratio increases.The sensitivity of shear fatigue life to stress during the mid-temperature range(10~25 ℃)and high-temperature range(50~70 ℃)is significantly higher than that during the low-temperature range(-10~0 ℃).
