Effect of Miller's Pyramid Teaching Approach on Improving Emergency Response Capabilities of Nurse Anesthetists

Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of Miller's pyramid teaching approach on the emergency response capabilities of nurse anesthetists.Methods A total of 60 nurse anesthetists were selected from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from April 2022 to April 2023.Nurses who received traditional teaching from April to September 2022 were included in the control group(n=30),while those who received Miller's pyramid teaching from October 2022 to April 2023 were included in the observation group(n= 30).After the teaching,the effect of these two teaching approaches was evaluated using a self-made theoretical knowledge rating scale,a self-made operation skill rating scale,the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version(CTDI-CV),an emergency response capability scale and a teaching quality evaluation inventory.Results After the teaching,the scores of theoretical knowledge and operating skills as well as the satisfaction with teaching quality in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The CTDI-CV scores and emergency response capability scores were increased in both groups,and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Miller's pyramid teaching approach can cultivate critical thinking in nurse anesthetists,elevate their professional competence,bolster their emergency response capabilities and increase their satisfaction with teaching quality.The effect of this approach is superior to the traditional teaching approach.关键词
