Abstract
Objective:Evaluate the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Tang combined with conventional Western medicine treatment on lung function and inflammatory markers in patients with Acute Aggravated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)Pa-tients.Method:This study,conducted from October 2020to June 2023in our hospital's respiratory department,involved 82patients with Acute Aggravated COPD Patients.Using a random number table method,patients were divided into two groups:a control group(41 patients)who received only conventional Western medical treatment,and an observation group(41patients)who re-ceived a combination of conventional Western medical treatment and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction.The clinical efficacy,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,pulmonary function indicators[Forced Vital Capacity(FVC),Forced Expiratory Volume in One Second(FEV1),and Diffusing Capacity of the Lung for Carbon Monoxide(DLCO)],and inflammatory markers[White Blood Cell count(WBC),Interleukin-6(IL-6),Leukotriene B4(LT-B4),High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein(hs-CRP)]were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:The overall effectiveness of the obser-vation group's treatment was notably high at 90.24％(37out of 41 patients),substantially surpassing the 73.17％efficacy(30out of 41patients)observed in the control group.This difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Prior to the commencement of treatment,both groups showed no significant differences in any of the measured indicators(P＞0.05).However,post-treatment,the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores in the observation group were markedly lower compared to the control group(P＜0.05).Additionally,the Forced Vital Capacity(FVC)and Forced Expiratory Volume in one second(FEV1)were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The Diffusing Capacity of the Lungs for Carbon Monoxide(DLCO)showed no significant statistical difference between the groups(P＞0.05).Furthermore,the levels of inflam-matory markers in the observation group were significantly reduced compared to those in the control group(P＜0.05),indicating a notable improvement in inflammatory responses.Conclusion:The combination of Xuefu Zhuyu Tang and conventional Western medicine treatment can significantly improve lung function and reduce inflammatory indicators in Acute Aggravated COPD Pa-tients,providing a new and effective strategy for comprehensive treatment of COPD patients.关键词
