Abstract

Aiming at the Badi landslide on the right bank of Lidi Hydropower Station in the upper reaches of Lancang River,the formation mechanism is analyzed to be toppling creep deformation and the limit equilibrium method is used to calculate the stability of the landslide before and after the reservoir is impounded.The results show that before the reservoir impoundment,the whole landslide is in a stable state.After impoundment,the whole landslide is still stable under natural and rainstorm conditions,but under rainstorm and earthquake conditions,the stability of slope front edge is poor.The equipment monitoring of the landslide after water storage shows that:the maxi-mum period of groundwater level rise and deformation rate of the landslide is within 10 months after the reservoir's water storage,and thereafter it shows a creep state.The failure model of the landslide is Flaky bank collapse in the steep slope section of the front edge(1 885.00~1 900.00 m);the possibility of overall sliding at the leading edge is very low.
