猫假足菌肿的病例分析
Case Analysis of Feline Dermatophytic Pseudomycetoma

Abstract
Dermatophytic pseudomycetoma is a rare deep fungal infection.To enhance awareness of this disease,this case was diagnosed based on clinical symptoms and laboratory test results,followed by treatment according to the diagnosis.Subcutaneous nodular samples from the affected cat were collected for cytological examination,histopathological examination,and fungal culture.Cytological examination revealed multinucleated giant cells and epithelioid macrophages engulfing blue-black material and fungal hyphae.Histopathological examination showed a granulomatous center containing numerous unstained hyphae.Fungal culture yielded macroconidia of Microsporum canis.The comprehensive diagnosis was dermatophytic pseudomycetoma in the cat.Treatment involved a combination of oral antifungal medication and surgical excision of nodules with wound debridement.Subsequent hematological and serum biochemical tests were conducted to monitor the side effects of oral antifungal medication on the body.The results indicated a good recovery of the affected cat,with no abnormalities in liver enzyme levels during the medication period.关键词
