Abstract
New insights on Gesar studies are offered by the two distinct versions of the Gesar tales in the"Dijiao dialect"of the eastern peripheral parts of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Both versions dis-play the traits of distinct streams from the same source and strong connections to Gesar epic. Both versions have aspects of central plains culture,demonstrating how different ethnic groups'cultures have mutually impacted one another during the process of ethnic interaction and integra-tion,evolving into organic parts of diverse ethnic cultures.This illustrates how the Chinese people have historically developed,steadily progressing from diversity to oneness.关键词
