Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics, diagnostic methods, and pathological types of lymphoma with thoracic involvement, with the aim of enhancing clinical awareness and diagnostic rates. Methods A retrospective collection of 44 patients diagnosed with lymphoma through pathological examination at the Fujian Provincial Fuzhou Pulmonary Hospital from July 2017 to August 2022 was conducted.Clinical data and pathological diagnoses were collected, and the patients were divided into two groups for analysis based on the location of the lesion:the thoracic lesion group and the systemic lesion group. Results Among the 44 patients,23 patients were in the thoracic lesion group, and 21 patients were in the systemic lesion group.Mediastinal lymph node enlargement was observed in 18(85.7%)patients in the systemic lesion group, significantly more than 11(47.8%)patients in the thoracic lesion group(P<0.05).Diagnoses in the thoracic lesion group were mainly confirmed by CT-guided lung biopsy(11 cases)and bronchoscopic biopsy(6 cases),while in the systemic lesion group, superficial lymph node biopsy(13 cases)was predominantly used for obtaining a pathological diagnosis. The thoracic lesion group primarily consisted of mature B-cell tumors, including marginal zone lymphoma and precursor lymphocytic tumors, while the systemic lesion group had only mature B-cell tumors and mature T-cell and NK-cell tumors. Conclusion Since Lymphoma symptoms are atypical,Lymph node biopsy is highly valuable for diagnosing patients with superficial lymph node enlargement, while CT-guided lung biopsy has a certain diagnostic value for patients with pulmonary lesions, and multidisciplinary discussions may be necessary when needed.关键词
