Efficacy and Safety of Kanggan Granules in the Treatment of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections in Children:A Meta-analyse

Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Kanggan Granules in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections in children.Methods Using"Kanggan Granule"and"Kang Gan Granule"as search terms,a comprehensive search was conducted on Chinese and English databases such as PubMed,Cochrane Library,Springer Link,Web of Science,CNKI,SinoMed,WanFang,and VIP,as well as relevant journals and conference papers.The search was conducted until June 2023.A randomized controlled trial(RCT)was conducted to screen for the treatment of pediatric upper respiratory tract infections with Kanggan granules,and meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.4 software.Results 16 randomized controlled trials met the inclusion criteria,with a total of 2 287 patients.The Meta results showed that compared to the control group,the Kanggan Granule group had a higher overall effective rate in treating upper respiratory tract infections in children,with shorter time for the disappearance of clinical symptoms such as fever and lung rales(P＜0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the disappearance time of clinical symptoms such as cough and the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Kanggan Granule has a definite therapeutic effect and can effectively alleviate the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections in children.It has certain advantages and good safety.However,the number of literature included in this study is relatively small,and the evidence strength is limited.The above conclusions still need to be verified by more high-quality research.关键词
