Abstract
Objective To explore and analyze the effect of goal-achievement-based holistic nursing for patients undergoing endoscopic surgery for thyroid cancer.Methods 80 patients with thyroid cancer undergoing endoscopy admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from February 2021 to February 2023 were divided into two groups(experimental group and control group)by coin toss method.The experimental group(n=40)were given routine nursing,while the control group(n=40)were given combined with holistic nursing based on the goal achievement theory,and the indicators of both group were compared.Results After nursing,the scores of optimism,tenacity,and self-reliance of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05);Hospitalization time and hospitalization cost of the experimental group were lower than those of control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of nurse-patient disputes between groups was similar(P＞0.05).After nursing,the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was slightly lower than that in the control group(P＞0.05).Conclusion It is feasible to apply goal-achievement-oriented holistic nursing to patients undergoing endoscopic surgery for thyroid cancer.关键词
