践行ESG理念能促进关键核心技术创新吗?

Abstract
How to promote enterprises to develop intrinsic motivation for breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields?The concept of ESG provides a new perspective.Taking A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2021 as research samples,the paper empirically examines the impact of practicing ESG principles on corporate innovation in core technologies in key fields,based on a new method of measuring core technologies in key fields.The study finds that practicing ESG principles effectively promotes corporate innovation in core technologies in key fields.The mechanism analysis shows that practicing ESG principles helps increase the proportion of patient capital in the corporate capital structure,facilitates the corporate better integration into the global innovation network,and thereby promotes the innovation in core technologies in key fields.Further analysis shows that sufficient market competition,relatively strong factor utilization capabilities,and relatively low factor usage costs help to better exert the promotive effect of ESG practices.The paper provides a new analytical perspective for driving corporate innovation in core technologies in key fields and also provides a theoretical basis for enterprises to deepen their implementation of ESG practices.关键词
