Relationship between Serum Uric Acid Levels and Unstable Carotid Plaques in Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease

Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between serum uric acid levels and unstable carotid artery plaques in ischemic cerebrovascular disease.Method Sixty patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease were selected,among which 30 cases had transient ischemic attacks and assigned to the transient ischemic attack group;30 cases of cerebral infarction were assigned to the cerebral infarction group,and their serum uric acid levels were measured to analyze the relationship between serum uric acid levels in ischemic cerebrovascular disease and unstable carotid plaques.Result The serum uric acid levels of the transient ischemic attack group were significantly lower than those of the cerebral infarction group(P<0.05).Logtic regression analysis showed that elevated blood uric acid is a risk factor for plaque formation in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease(P<0.05).As the plaque area increases,serum uric acid increases(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a close relationship between serum uric acid levels and unstable carotid artery plaques in ischemic cerebrovascular disease.Serum uric acid level is an independent risk factor for plaque occurrence in patients.Early monitoring of serum uric acid can better evaluate carotid artery instability and provide a basis for early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.关键词
