An Analog Multiplier Implemented by a Single Operational Transresistance Amplifier

Abstract
The analog multiplier,which is widely used in the field of nuclear electronics,is studied,and an analog multiplier,which is implemented using a single operational transresistance amplifier(OTRA),is proposed.Firstly,based on the basic structure of operational transresistance amplifier and the input-output relations,a basic multiplier circuit based on a single OTRA is proposed.Then,in order to eliminate the influence of finite transresistance gain of OTRA on the multiplier,a scheme for implementing a small signal su-perimposed on DC bias and a multiplier structure based on MOS are proposed to compensate for high frequency applications.Its appli-cations as a square and amplitude modulator are also discussed.Finally,the proposed theoretical design is verified through PSPICE sim-ulation,which shows that the simulation results agree well with the theoretical design.关键词
