The Impact of Entrepreneurial Failure Experiences of Migrant Workers Returning to Their Hometowns on Their Entrepreneurial Performance

Abstract
Exploring the impact of entrepreneurial failure experiences on the performance of rural migrant workers who re-turn to their hometowns for entrepreneurship is of great significance in promoting income growth for farmers and achieving rural revitalization.The performance of re-entrepreneurship among rural migrant workers who have previously experienced entrepreneurial failure is not only related to their personal interests,but also directly affects the entrepreneurial atmosphere and the smooth implementation of rural revitalization strategies.Based on data obtained from field surveys,using binary lo-gistic model and mediating effect model,this paper quantitatively analyzes the impact of entrepreneurial failure experiences on the performance of re-entrepreneurship of rural migrant workers returning home from poverty-stricken counties in west-ern China,and explores its mechanism of action.The results indicate that 41.62%of the sample subjects have previous entrepreneurial failure experiences,which significantly negatively affect their current entrepreneurial performance.In terms of the mediating mechanism,risk coping capacity plays a mediating role in the impact of entrepreneurial failure experiences on the performance of re-entrepreneurship.The experience of entrepreneurial failure suppresses the risk coping capacity of returning migrant workers who start their own businesses again,leading to a decrease in their entrepreneurial performance.In addition,the experience of entrepreneurial failure has a more significant inhibitory effect on the performance of survival entrepreneurship and non-agricultural entrepreneurship.Therefore,it is recommended to build a diversified entrepreneur-ship training system,fully leverage the leading role of examples,and provide diversified information support for re entrepre-neurs,in order to block the negative impact of previous failed entrepreneurial experiences on the re-entrepreneurship of re-turning migrant workers,enhance their risk coping capacity,and promote the improvement of their re-entrepreneurship per-formance.关键词
