Returning to Space and Body:A New Approach to Elderly Communication Research
摘要
Abstract
The media-centric or technology-centric orientation of elderly communication research neglected the spatial and physical dimensions of elderly communication,as also as the complex relationship between offline and online communica-tion.From the perspective of space and body,the study on elderly communication is not only a better understanding and in-terpretation to the various offline communication practices that elderly people do in their daily lives,but also a positive re-sponse to the difficulties of the elderly communication in the media and digital era,as well as issues related to the current aging society.Rethinking the important role of space and body in the elderly communication practice,and constructing the fusion paradigm related to space,body,media and information,etc.,will constitute a new vision to understand the elderly communication practice and enrich the elderly communication theories,which is also beneficial for promoting healthy and active elderly care through both online and offline channels.关键词
