Abstract
The main reasons and challenges for electrochemical hydrogen evolution in alkaline environment are analyzed,and the benchmarks as well as design strategies for electrocatalysts are expounded based on the current technical status of hydrogen production by water electrolysis.The differences in hydrogen evolution between the reaction mechanisms of acidic and alkaline environment are compared,and the evaluation parameters for evaluating the catalyst activity are organized.In addition,the evaluation of catalyst activity requires comprehensive judgment based on various benchmark tests due to the complexity of the hydrogen evolution reaction mechanism.The key to the design of alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction catalysts lies in reducing the impact of water molecule dissociation.The design trends for catalysts are discussed,including the construction of dual active sites,modulation of electronic structure,and control of interfacial properties.By balancing the hydrogen binding energy and hydroxide binding energy of the catalyst,all steps of the reaction can proceed rapidly.关键词
