Differences and Similarities of Standards for Detection of Staphylococcus aureus in Food between China and the United States

摘要

Abstract

Staphylococcus aureus is a common foodborne pathogen that can cause food poisoning.If not properly controlled,it can seriously endanger human health.Accurate identification is the key to the prevention and control of foodborne pathogens,and detection standards are the foundation and basis for identification of foodborne pathogens.In order to make China's detection of Staphylococcus aureus in food more scientific and accurate,this paper systematically compares and analyzes the standards for detection of Staphylococcus aureus in food in China and the United States.The results indicate that there are many similarities in standards for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus in food between the two countries,and there are many differences in aspects such as the number of detection methods and operational procedures.There are some detailed provisions in standards applied in the United States that are worth learning,including the grading of coagulase test results,and ancillary tests.It is recommended to actively learn from the advances in detection standards of other countries and international organizations in the process of developing and revising standards for detection of foodborne pathogens in China,to continuously improve the level of development and revision of food safety standards in China.
