Abstract
Based on an introduction of the latest scan data,characteristics of Bohai tide and the tide window period for ships,the paper analyzes the navigation practices for a full-loaded very large ore carrier(VLOC)of 400 000 DWT to pass Bohai taking the tide.It summarizes the major breakthroughs and valuable experience of such a ship navigating westwards for direct calling at Caofeidian port,aiming to provide reference for large ships with deep draft,especially full-loaded VLOCs of 400 000 DWT to pass Bohai making full use of the tide.关键词
