Abstract

Embedded rail has been widely used in the field of urban rail transit,and there are also a few relevant reports and theoretical studies on high-speed railway at home and abroad.Embedded track has a significant effect on mitigating wheel/rail impact,among which welded joints are one of the important factors for wheel/rail impact.When the train running at speed of 400 km/h and even higher,the change of wheel/rail force caused by impact excitation of welded joints is very significant.At present,the research of using embedded rail to high speed track is still insufficient.Based on the explicit dynamic finite element method,this paper uses a three-dimensional high-speed wheel-rail transient rolling contact model to numerically simulate the wheel rail impact process,and explores the impact characteristics of the embedded track at a speed of 400 km/h.It is concluded that both the embedded track and fastener track can reduce the magnitude of vertical wheel/rail force when impacted by different wavelengths.The longer the wavelength of welded joint is,the vertical wheel/rail impact force can approach gentle more quickly.When the wheel is impacted by the long wave of the welded joint,the embedded track can significantly reduce the longitudinal wheel/rail force.The research results provide a reference for the application of embedded track in high-speed railways.
