摘要

Abstract

The research focuses on the technical indicators and performance characteristics of industrial solid waste steel slag.It involves the design of steel slag asphalt mixture proportions and analyzes the various per-formance properties and volumetric stability of the steel slag asphalt mixture.The research findings indicate that aged steel slag exhibits excellent mechanical properties and can be used as high-quality aggregate in asphalt mixtures.The water immersion expansion rate of the steel slag and the content of free calcium oxide increase with decreasing particle size.The gradation design of the steel slag asphalt mixture should employ the"volume method"and the asphalt immersion method should be used to determine the effective relative density.The steel slag asphalt mixture demonstrates excellent pavement performance and good volumetric stability.Taking into account comprehensive pavement performance,volumetric stability,and cost-effectiveness,steel slag should be utilized as coarse aggregate to the greatest extent possible in asphalt mixtures.
