Abstract
Hemorrhoid is a common benign anorectal disease with a high incidence worldwide,accounting for approxi-mately 50%of anorectal diseases in Chinese mainland city dwellers.Common symptoms of hemorrhoids include bleeding,swelling,prolapse,pain,pruritus,and anal discomfort,which can affect people's daily work and life.Severe complications may even threaten patients'life.The"Chinese Patient Guideline for Self-Management of Hemorrhoid"was revised by clini-cal experts,researchers,and patient representatives based on the"Chinese Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Hemorrhoids(2020)"and following the formulation methods of patient guidelines.The guidelines focused on disease-related issues that patients concern about and ultimately identified 23 issues and formulated recommendations.These rec-ommendations cover various aspects such as the causes,classification,diagnosis,treatment methods,postoperative manage-ment,and daily care of hemorrhoids.They aim to enhance patients'knowledge and understanding of disease prevention,diagnosis,treatment,nursing,and rehabilitation,enabling them to better participate in decision-making regarding hemor-rhoid treatment and effectively manage their conditions,ultimately improving their health outcomes.关键词
