Abstract
Oral history as a research method originated in the 40s of the 20th century,and the study of architectural oral history took shape in the 80s.The rudiments of oral history have appeared in China for a long time,but before the 21st century it was not taken seriously,and the results of architectural oral history were not much.In the past ten years,with the expansion of oral history research,the study of Chinese architectural oral history has shown a strong momentum of development.With the initiative and efforts of the academic community,many academic conferences have been organised,and the research results represented by"Oral History of Chinese Architecture"have emerged,forming research hot-spots such as architectural oral history theory,architecture-related subjects,and urban and rural architecture.In terms of theory,scholars have mainly studied the history of development and the application of methods.In terms of architecture-related subjects,the main subjects are architectural schools,architectural disciplines,architectural education,professional architects and traditional craftsmen.In terms of urban and rural architecture,there are urban architecture studies represented by urban individual buildings,third-line buildings,architectural design and planning,and urban architectural heritage protection,and vernacular architecture studies represented by local heritage protection,traditional architectural techniques,ethnic minority architecture,and overseas Chinese architecture.Based on the summary and review of the Based on the existing research results,this paper combs in detail the excellent achievements of architectural oral history since its emergence,and then explores the development status and shortcomings of architectural oral history,and believes that the current research of architectural oral history has problems such as lack of theoretical research,insufficient interdisciplinary research,lack of comprehensive research,and the need to build an architectural oral history library.We should improve the research system,carry out multidisciplinary research,pay attention to the research of architectural oral history in ethnic minority areas and border areas,integrate resources from all aspects,and build an oral history database for scholars to study.At the same time,oral materials should be used didactically and combined with multiple materials to verify them so as not to have a negative impact on research.With the gradual expansion of the influence of architectural oral history,more and more young scholars will choose it as their own academic development path,and in the future,architectural oral history will become one of the main methods of architectural research,and the results will also provide theoretical support and cultural connotation for China's urban planning,protection and construction,and give full play to the theoretical and practical value of academic research.关键词
