Effects of Water Treatment on the Growth and Development of Eggs and Larvae of Lema decempunctata Gebler

Abstract
Microecological factors(water,air,heat,etc.)often interfere with a series of behaviors related to growth and development of pests,such as feeding,mating,reproduction,etc.The effects of water on the oviposition,egg hatching,and larval growth and development of the Lema decempunctata Gebler were studied using spraying(water)and soaking methods.The results indicate that spraying(water)treatment,by altering humidity and water levels in the environment,delayed the initiation and duration of oviposition in adult Lema decempunctata Gebler and suppressed the hatching rate of eggs,it also disrupted the development time and behavioral activities of medium and large larvae.Water treatments significantly inhibited reproductive behaviors such as oviposition and egg hatching in adult Lema decempunctata Gebler and variably affected the normal activities of larvae.关键词
