Effect of miRNA Regulated by Traditional Chinese Medicine on Occurrence and Progression of Airway Remodeling in Bronchial Asthma

Abstract
Airway remodeling is characterized by the changes with structure,components and function of airway wall cells.Its pathologi-cal changes include epithelial cell damage and repair,epithelial-mesenchymal transition,subepithelial fibrosis,proliferation and migra-tion of airway smooth muscle cells and regeneration of airway wall vessels.The pathogenesis of airway remodeling in asthma is complex,with a variety of cells and cell components in the airway being involved in the occurrence and progression of airway remodeling.microR-NA(miRNA)plays an important role in the pathogenesis of asthma,and their abnormal expression is related to the pathogenesis of asth-ma and the response to asthma treatment,which is expected to become potential biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of asthma.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)pays attention to holistic regulation and can intervene the pathogenesis of asthma through multiple ways and targets,so as to control clinical symptoms,reduce airway inflammation and improve airway remodeling.Traditional Chinese medicine compound or monomer can regulate the survival,proliferation,differentiation and other multifaceted activities of immune and non-immune cells by regulating the expression of miRNA to improve airway remodeling.关键词
