Experience of He Yanshen Classical School of Internal Medicine in Treating Chronic Colitis Based on Theory of "Yang Dominating and Yin Following"

Abstract
He Yanshen Classical School of Internal Medicine of Lingnan Region proposed the followings:The etiology and pathogenesis of chronic colitis are complicated,in which the weakness of Spleen and Stomach is the fundamental cause,so the theory of"Yang domi-nating and Yin following"is the basic law for differentiation and treatment.It is necessary to distinguish Yin and Yang,distinguish cause and effect,emphasize supporting the Spleen and Stomach,care for the Yuan Yin,and pay attention to regulating emotions,and to advocate autonomous health.In clinical practice,paired drugs should be applied,such as Dangshen(Codonopsis Radix)-Baizhu(At-ractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma)are used to tonify Qi and Spleen,Muxiang(Aucklandiae Radix)-Sharen(Amomi Fructus)are used to activate Qi and relieve Dampness,Chaihu(Bupleuri Radix)-Baishao(Paeoniae Radix Alba)are used to sooth and soften Liv-er.关键词
