Zhou Caiyun Treating Dermatomyositis Based on Theory of "Spleen Deficiency Induced Failing to Govern"
摘要
Abstract
The deficiency of Ying(nutrient Qi)and Wei(defense Qi)is a cause of dermatomyositis in TCM,which generated and transformed by Spleen and Stomach.The Spleen deficiency may lead to insecurity of defense Qi with evil invading,thus resulting in dis-ease.Disease location of dermatomyositis is on Spleen or muscle,on Lung or skin,as well as on Kidney in the advanced stage of the dis-ease.It is proposed that TCM clinical treatment of dermatomyositis should be carried out based on the theory of"Spleen deficiency fail-ing to govern","Spleen governing muscle"and"Lung governing skin and hair",which is corresponding to muscle and skin symptoms of dermatomyositis.Focus on Spleen and Lung and invigorate Spleen to benefit Qi throughout the whole treatment.Sijunzi Decoction should be used as a basic prescription,and supplement Chinese medicines that producing liquid and moistening Lung selectively.Damp-ness,Heat and Toxin are major pathological factors in development of dermatomyositis,so Chianese medicines that resolving Dampness,clearing Heat and resolving Toxin are often used as adjuvants.Use Chinese medicines with sweet flavor to enter Spleen.Considering the importance of Yangming meridian in treating Weizheng(flaccidity pattern),Chinese medicines belongs to Yangming meridian can be used to clear Yangming Stomach Heat,dispel Phlegm,resolve Turbidity and remove Dampness-Heat,to relieve the retention of food and the obstruction of the hollow viscera,and to invigorate Qi and nourish Yin of Yangming.关键词
