Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam on intelligence,cognitive level and electroencephalogram of children with epilepsy.Methods One hundred children with epilepsy admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects,and were randomly divided into control group(50 children treated with sodium valproate)and experimental group(50 children treated with sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam).The therapeutic effect,intelligence,cognitive level and EEG of the children in the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate in the experimental group(92.00%)was higher than that in the control group(76.00%,P<0.05).After 4 months of treatment,the Chinese Wechsler intelligence scale for children(C-WISC)scores and the Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)scores of both groups increased.The scores for performance intelligence quotient(PIQ),verbal intelligence quotient(VIQ),full-scale intelligence quotient(FIQ),verbal understanding factor intelligence,perceptual organization factor intelligence and distraction-free/memory factor intelligence and MoCA score of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The frequencies of θ,α and δ in both groups after 4 months of treatment were more stable than those before treatment.The frequencies in the experimental group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Sodium valproate combined with levetiracetam can significantly improve the curative effect,improve intelligence and cognitive level,and control epileptic discharge in epilepsy children.关键词
