Abstract
Hyperthyroidism is a common endocrine system disease,featuring complex and changeable clinical manifestations and a high incidence.The existing treatment methods for the disease,solely based on the syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine,can only improve its related symptoms.On the basis of that,academician Tong Xiaolin proposes the theory of"treatment based on a state-target differentiation",which is conductive for the treatment of this disease.Accordingly,referring to the TCM thinking of conducting a comprehensive analysis of data gained by the four diagnostic methods,he diagnoses the disease with the help of its clinical indicators,namely,identifying the disease stages by means of the three states of"depression,fire,and deficiency",and precisely working out a treatment plan based on a syndrome differentiation by making a comprehensive analysis of disease targets,symptom targets,and manifestation targets.Furthermore,he discerns the depression state as the cause of hyperthyroidism,and takes into account the deficiency state as its effect by summarizing the core etiology and pathogenesis of the disease,so as to decide on the treatment principle,method,prescription,herbs and dosage.The theory put forward by Tong Xiaolin is assumed to be able to not only improve its clinical symptoms,but also take into account the treatment of the disease itself,so as to achieve the effect of strengthening and consolidating the body resistance,treating both the manifestations and the root cause of the diseases.关键词
