摘要
Abstract
Chinese ethnic peoples make great scientific and cultural contributions to human development;and the four great inventions of ancient China are the most representative proof.However,the status of Chinese architecture in the whole wide world has not been objectively evaluated for a long time.Especially,architects and buildings of the 20th century really need a world arena to show their charms.Under the circumstance of promoting powerful cultural country and powerful heritage country construction in the name of building heritage expo,publication of the Chinese version of Sir Banister Fletcher's A History of Architecture in 2011 supports this subject in some sense.Here,we start with reading and studying this book,focus on Chinese projects classified as the architectural heritage of the 20th century,and raise an academic concept and ideological element of modern Chinese classical architecture presenting an international popularization value."Methods"and"Art"embodied in it can undoubtedly enrich cultural confidence of Chinese architects.We need to make breakthroughs in the process of seeking new cultural transmission research forms of modern architecture.As clearly pointed out in this paper,the history in which western"Great Masters"head the list should be rewritten on the international architectural platform of the 20th century.Introduction of western architectural works and ideas in China is attributed to the need for broadening the international vision.However,the fact that western architectural works and ideas readily receive wide attention indicates that Chinese architectural culture fails to be properly popularized and we fail to find competitive architectural masters or classical architectural works.Therefore,it is urgent to treasure and recommend books that objectively reflect contributions of Chinese architectural works.For Sir Banister Fletcher's A History of Architecture with a history of 128 years,it is worth reading and studying carefully and thoroughly,so that it can serve the development of Chinese modernization.关键词
