A Comparative Study of Sun Yatsen's and Mao Zedong's Thoughts on Overseas Chinese Affairs

Abstract
The work of overseas Chinese affairs is a long-term and strategic task of the Party and the state,and has played an important and unique role in various historical periods of the country's development.Since modern times,Sun Yatsen and Mao Zedong attached great importance to the work of overseas Chinese affairs,and formed their own thoughts on overseas Chinese affairs in the practice of carrying out overseas Chinese affairs.Sun Yatsen and Mao Zedong constantly struggled to achieve national rejuvenation by giving play to the role of overseas Chinese,doing a good job in the relationship with overseas Chinese leaders,and safeguarding the interests of overseas Chinese.However,due to different eras and environments,Sun Yatsen and Mao Zedong had ideological differences in the ways they won the support of overseas Chinese and the direction of the country's development.Compared with Sun Yatsen's thought on overseas Chinese affairs,Mao Zedong's thought on overseas Chinese affairs is more people-oriented,comprehensive and independent.关键词
